About this tracker
What this site does
IRCC Processing Times Tracker records the official processing times that Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada publishes for 28 permanent residence and citizenship categories — and keeps the history. IRCC's own page only shows today's number; this site shows whether the queue is speeding up or slowing down, how today compares to the all-time high and low, and how many people are waiting in each category.
You can also subscribe to free email alerts for a category and get notified when its processing time changes.
Where the data comes from
Every number on this site comes from the official IRCC processing times data feed published by the Government of Canada on canada.ca — the same source that powers IRCC's own check processing times page. The tracker fetches this feed every 6 hours and stores a snapshot whenever IRCC publishes an update. Nothing is estimated, adjusted, or modeled: if IRCC says "about 6 months," that is what you see here, with the date IRCC said it.
IRCC data is used under the Open Government Licence – Canada.
What it is not
This site is not affiliated with the Government of Canada and does not show the status of your individual application — for that, use the official IRCC status tracker or your IRCC secure account. If the official tracker is offline, see Is the IRCC tracker down?
Who runs it
This tracker is built and maintained by sonyabytes as a free, open-source project. The full source code is available on GitHub, where you can inspect exactly how data is collected and report issues.
